If Donald Trump had stopped at a local shop during COVID people would have questioned why a "non-essential" shop was still open and would have criticized Trump for making an unnecessary stop to the endangerment of others at the shop.
As they praise his patronage of local businesses they fail to point out the security required and the impact on local traffic. As a former NY'er I have sat for hours at La Guardia on the tarmac with flight delays because Airforce One was there and nothing could move until it was gone. What was the traffic buildup on that local Georgetown road while Biden waited for bagels? How much carbon was burned (wasted) as cars waited patiently, idling, for the Presidents convey to leave? The new normal for these bureaucrats should be no movement at all so we can save the planet. Let them conduct their crimes virtually.
