I agree that we’d be committing valuable resources to a sinking ship. We need to put the bad dogs completely down through a Convention of States, for which they’re gaining support, and restore the republic. Then leadership from the likes of a DeSantis can be effective.

We had an extensive exchange about this in the comments at my “Letter to Governor Ron DeSantis” (https://margaretannaalice.substack.com/p/letter-to-governor-ron-desantis?s=w), and I was told DeSantis has said he does not want to run because he can accomplish far more as a governor than he can as president due to the rampant corruption in Washington. I can’t say I disagree with this statement, as much as I’d love to vote for him as president (a DeSantis-Gabbard ticket would be mind-blowing).

That said, Elon Musk just endorsed DeSantis for 2024, so if he changes his mind, that’s a pretty big endorsement to have in his pocket:

Don’t be greedy! For the sake of all Americans, let DeSantis give it a go. I agree that our federal institutions our hopelessly infiltrated and dirty, but I believe it would be better to have them ruled over by DeSantis instead of a RINO or another corrupt Democrat.

Okay that's fine. But one thing you must keep in mind. In DC the president is run by lower tier powers that control all the strings in the country. This was Trump's mistake, he thought he would run things like a large corporation. Since governors don't have that problem exactly, what would be even better is if you could get a dozen or two governors like DeSantis in office. These states could then override even Congress.

That's a very long stretch I know, but presidents cannot do very much and if they do the establishment will occupy them with all types of time wasting nonsense, as we saw with Trump, that's why nothing gets done. Even a substantial amount of Republicans fought him. You see DC is so corrupt it's not a swamp but an ocean. This is why politics will do nothing for us, Trump (I have too mention I predicted this) was only a speed bump, he kept Hillary out, that's it.

Therefore, the only way to get our country back is to let it crash and burn and start over. Probably split in half along past division lines with other states joining where they think they fit.

Nations on averages last about 370 years, ours is long in the tooth. Republics in particular always fall because of the built-in corruption of the representative.

I think before this century ends we will have at least two America's, perhaps more. At this point, it's been building for years, we will never see eye to eye. We used to get along just fine, but those days are long gone. There is no going back.

"How could we forget that just a handful of years ago, the U.S. Intelligence Community — which is supposed to be commanded under the direction of POTUS — made it its mission to depose Donald Trump via a series of elaborate coup attempts."

Doesn't this tell us all that it doesn't matter who sits in the White House? The total of our government is run by puppet masters like Blackrock, State St., Vanguard, the City of London and the CEOs of other mega-corporations. We need to stop paying attention to R -v- D and realize that the only way we will survive in the future is to divorce ourselves from the sham political system that gives us (courtesy of TPTB) the false illusion of choice. The only choice we have is among chosen candidates that will do the will of the puppet masters. That is not choice; that is the illusion of choice. Ron DeSanits is better off in FL, where he might still be able to do some good. He would be thoroughly undermined, as Trump was, if he entered the White House.

He is great at handling the smear merchants, but if he runs for president, the regime is going to throw everything they got in order to undermine him. As Florida’s governor, he has done so much to further the cause of freedom. He should stay.

You don't need Ron DeSantis in the White House. You need 49 MORE Ron Desantises.

Absolutely, we need Governor DeSantis to remain in Florida. His last election was a squeaker and, perhaps, now we know why given the revelations of 2020 “voting.” We must secure our state elections and continue to be a prime example in all other matters for the rest of the country.

Desantis for Vice President, and Trump for President

I can see both sides.

First, DeSantis is the ONLY politician in this country with the same qualities as FDR. He SOLVES PROBLEMS, while all other politicians CREATE PROBLEMS. DeSantis would NOT be the same as Trump, because Trump is a total faker. Everything Trump did was perfectly in line with Deepstate's commands. DeSantis has undergone trial by fire and has proved he's real.

The bottom-up argument also has force. DeSantis showed other governors that it was POSSIBLE to resist the federal monster if you have GUTS. Most of Dixie is free now because those governors observed and learned how to use GUTS.

The question is whether any governors outside Dixie are human. It looks to me like the GUTS-power has spread about as far as it can go, with firm resistance from the demons ruling the coasts. In that case it would be better to have a problem-solver in the presidency.

The population of Florida is 21 million. The population of the U.S. is 330 million. If DeSantis has the chance to 15x his influence he should. OR Florida should split off and become its own separate country and encourage other states to do the same. The status quo nationwide is unsustainable.

Maybe Pam Bondi could be governor while DeSantis goes to the WH?

Of course the MSM will do their best to make it seem like anyone not Democrat who doesn't ravenously hate Trump is a clone of Trump.

Totally agree! Love DeSantis, but we need good, strong governors too. He is a model for the rest of the GOP governor lot.
